Earl Shilton over Cyprus for Leicestershire couple

Leicestershire couple Roger Buckham and Sheila Goodhew were all set to emigrate to Cyprus that was until they found their dream home at David Wilson East Midland's Montgomery Gardens development on Montgomery Road in Earl Shilton.
The couple had planned to sell their four- bedroom detached property in Hinckley and jet off to the sun, but with both of them having elderly mothers, 62 year old Roger and 63 year old Sheila started having second thoughts.
Upon visiting her Mum, who lived in the Earl Shilton area, Sheila came across the Montgomery Gardens development and decided to take a chance look around.
Sheila says "As soon as I saw our house I fell in love, it was just perfect and I knew there and then that I wanted to live there. I went home and told Roger, but at first he wasn't interested. So I made him come and take a look around and as soon as he saw it he fell in love too."
Roger continues "I was really pessimistic at first but like Sheila says, it was literally love at first sight- it was as if the house had been made especially for us as it caters for all our needs."
Roger and Sheila opted for a Satchwell style property which is a four- bedroom, three storey townhouse with garage. They found that this flexible style home suited their particular situation perfectly. The couple have a 33 year old son, Andrew, who lives with them at the house, and with the ground floor boasting a bedroom, shower room, den and utility room, Andrew is virtually self contained whilst his parents enjoy the freedom of living happily upstairs.
Sheila continues "The Satchwell style is perfect for our situation. Andrew isn't in a position to buy a property of his own at the minute, so he has his own little place on the ground floor. Roger and I live on the first and second floors, so we have our own privacy."
The remaining two floors of the Satchwell style comprises a large sitting room and dining room, as well as a combined kitchen and breakfast room on the first floor, whilst the second floor comprises three good size bedrooms, the master with en suite, a study plus a bathroom.
Roger continues "We've always lived in new build homes and have bought from a number of different housebuilders, but none compare to David Wilson. The quality and finish to the house is superb."
Sheila adds "The service we’ve received has been outstanding and all our neighbours agree that nothing is too much trouble for the staff- the site manager even arranged for one of my units to be craned in because the removal company couldn’t get it up the stairs!
Roger concludes "It may not be Cyprus, but we wouldn't change our new home for the world!"
