It's sealed - David Wilson site manager wins Seal of Excellence
December 1st 2009
Housebuilder, David Wilson East Midlands, is celebrating after one of its site managers has won a Seal of Excellence in the National Housebuilding Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards, large builder category.
Henry Patecki won the accolade for his work at David Wilson's The Hedgerows development on Masefield Drive in Earl Shilton. Having already beaten 18,000 site managers to win the competition's Quality award, Henry has now gone on to be just one of 22 site managers in the East region to receive the Seal of Excellence title.
Henry has been working as a Site Manager for David Wilson since 1997 and has won no less than eight Quality Awards during his time with the company. This Seal of Excellence honour is his third and he is of course, delighted to have won again.
He comments "The NHBC awards are the most coveted within the industry and after not winning for three years, I am thrilled to have won not only a Quality Award but the prestigious Seal of Excellence too.
"The role of site manager requires a lot of hard work and dedication and to be awarded the Seal of Excellence is a fantastic achievement, for not just myself, but for all the team on site and it is a fitting tribute to the hardworking and skilled trades people that David Wilson employs."
David Wilson's Construction Director, Darren Langton, comments, "We are extremely proud of Henry who has led his team to success. The Pride in the Job competition is the benchmark for quality in construction and we are thrilled that Henry has achieved the Seal of Excellence award. This is an excellent result and one which will inspire confidence in our buyers."
The Pride in the Job awards are the most coveted in the industry, often referred to as the Oscars of construction. Now in its 29th year, it is the only national competition that focuses on the site manager's role in producing high quality new homes. Judging takes place all year round and scores are given across 38 different areas of site management including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process, leadership and organisational skills.
