Stamp duty axed on new homes in the area worth up to £500,000
September 4th 2008
The Prime Minister may have boosted homebuyers by announcing that houses worth up to £175,000 will be exempt from Stamp Duty - but David Wilson East Midlands is going even further by offering to scrap the tax on all its houses up to the value of £500,000.
This effectively means that every David Wilson home in the Earl Shilton area is exempt from Stamp Duty because David Wilson will pay it on their customers' behalf. David Wilson could also pay your legal fees and moving costs as part of the deal.
Philip Lacey, Sales Director at David Wilson, said: "When people want to move home Stamp Duty is an additional hassle which can sometimes make the difference between actually moving or not."
"So it is really good news for the housing market that the Government is suspending the tax for a year on properties worth up to £175,000."
"If you decide to buy your new home from David Wilson, however, you could effectively pay no Stamp Duty on a home worth up to £500,000. This is a great incentive for anyone who was thinking of moving home in the near future to do so now and cut down on the stress of moving home."
